Group Swim Lessons
Sign up today for private or group swim lessons with a qualified YMCA Swim Instructor. Lessons take place in our indoor pool and are offered year-round at the indoor pool, located at 1701 Gillionville Rd from August-May, and at our outdoor pool located at 4508 Gillionville Rd from June-July.
For Private Lessons, please see the YMCA front desk. Please note, private lessons are only offered with the approval of the Aquatics Director.
Group lessons are taught in 8 lessons sessions, and are non-refundable if you miss a lesson.
Adult/Teen Group Lessons--Beginner/Intermediate Level (SP)
STARFISH SWIM SCHOOL ® FOR TEENS AND ADULTS: (Ages 13 and older)
This course is designed to improve comfort and skill in the water, regardless of past swimming experience. Students work toward developing the five basic core swimming competencies using principles of adult learning.

Baby & Tots
Baby & Tots: (Ages 6 months to 3 years)
The purpose of this course is to develop in very young children a high comfort level in the water while at the same time training the adults who accompany them in water safety. This course does not teach children to become accomplished swimmers or to survive in the water; it does provide a confidence-building, fun and loving experience. One adult must be in the water with each child. Swim diapers are required.

Preschool Advanced Level
STARFISH SWIM SCHOOL® FOR PRESCHOOLERS: (AGES 3 – 5)
Designed to meet the needs of children ages 3 to 5, this course will develop a high-comfort level in the water and a readiness to swim, and for those children who are developmentally ready, it will teach functional swim skills. This class approaches teaching swimming through creative, fun activities in the water. Students work toward developing the five competencies and progress toward achieving the benchmarks at their own pace in a small-group setting.
