Active After School Program: Licensed by the State of Georgia, this program provides a fun and affordable after school care for children enrolled in Pre-K through the 8th grade. Nutritious snacks, character development, academic enrichment and fitness activities are included in the program. Monday through Friday 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm. We currently provide transportation from schools in Dougherty and Lee Counties. There must be at least 5 children from each school for the transportation to be included.
BENEFIT: All children enrolled in the Active After-school Program receive 1/2 off ALL YMCA Programs!
Pre-Kindergarten: Your child must be 4 before January 1, current year.
Prepare your children for kindergarten with the Building Blocks Curriculum! These young 4 year old's will also learn to swim, have basic youth sports instruction, enjoy music, and creative movement. This program is provided 5 or 3 days a week from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. (Early drop-off and after school available through Child-watch and Extended Day. Please ask Front Desk for details) The program follows the Dougherty County School Calendar.
Summer Day Camps: Please see Camps
Holiday Camps: When School is "Out", the Y is "In"! The Y will pick up from the schools on the day of early dismissal. Any days that the schools are not in, the Y is. Spring Break, Fall Break or just individual days. Please see the Front Desk for more details.
Child Watch: These services are offered for FREE as a Member Benefit at both the Central and Lee Branch for members with Family Memberships. Children can have fun in a safe environment while their parents work out. Please ask the Front Desk for hours, as they change seasonally.
Turbo Kidz: FREE for YMCA Members! Physical Fun, Games, and Activities for ages 8-12. Monday and Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm. Please register at the Front Desk.
Tot Lot: Your pre-schooler can enjoy Tot Lot while you work out. Tot Lot is FREE with your monthly Child-watch enrollment. Monday and Thursday, Two 30-minute sessions from 8:30 am - 10:30 am. The instructor will pick them up for Tot Lot after your child has been signed into Child-watch, and then return them to Child-watch at the end of the session. Sessions include physical fun and games.
